Loop builder in Elementor Pro 3.9
Loop builder or the Loop grid widget is a feature that was released inElementor Pro 3.8.
And using it you can create custom lists based on your requirements.
This feature has received quite a few improvements and below we have discussed every change.
Active by default
First things first, Loop Builder is still under Experiments in Elementor and it came disabled by default in Elementor Pro 3.8 which means to use it you will have to select Active in Loop experiment drop down.
This has changed in Elementor Pro 3.9 and now it comes Active by default.
Works with sections and Columns
When Elementor Loop Builder was released, it was only working with Flexbox Container.
And this means to use Loop Grid widget, you will have toactivate Flexbox Container in Elementor.
As you can see in the screenshot above, it is clearly mentioned below the experiment that Loop feature requires flexbox container.
This has changed in Elementor Pro 3.9 and now there is no such requirement and you will be able to use Loop Builder with both the Container and Inner Section widget.
Support for Woocommerce
The next big change that has been introduced in Elementor Pro 3.9 for the Loop Builder is the support for Woocommerce.
In this, the first change that you are going to notice is the additions of a new dropdown for choosing a template type.
This dropdown has 2 options
- Posts
- Products

When you will select Product in this dropdown, the source drop down under Query tab will change and you will get below mentioned options to choose from.

- Sale
- Featured
- Manual Selection

As you can see, using this option you can build a loop displaying- Latest products, Items on Sale, Related Products and more.
Moving on,
When you will create a template using the Loop Grid widget for Products, it will show you all the Woocommerce widgets as recommended.

Equal Height
After the support for Woocommerce, the next improvement that has been released for the Loop Grid widget is Equal Height option.
And using it you will be able to make all the columns of the same height.
